“Do Not Be A Slave To Your Past!” -Ralph Emerson
“The only thing that you can control…..
is how you feel.
You are in control of if you let things bother you or if you choose to be happy.”
You are in control of YOU!

Download the worksheets below and print them out to work through this exercise.
Take the first piece of paper….. The Release Page and begin at the top.
Start on the left side by filling in any losses or tough situations or events that happened. Then on the right side list any lesson, thoughts or things you learned from them. (This is personal so it is up to you if they are positive or negative aspects that you took from the hardships.)
Move down to the bottom section and fill in all the things you want to release. This can be negative thoughts, mindsets, people, situations, etc. Take the time to think through these. Imagine you are eliminating them from your life, so what do you want gone?
Now fold that piece of paper up tight. As you are folding imagine and feel all those negative things jumping off of you onto that paper and being stuck there as you fold.
Now on a second piece of paper write ….. The Bring Into Your Life Page and begin at the top.
Start on the left side by filling in any wins or accomplishments that happened. Then on the right side list any lesson, thoughts or things you learned from them. What were your take away’s, how did it feel?
Move down to the bottom section and fill in all the things you want to bring into your life.
It can be positive mindset, more love, deepen my relationship with _______ and so on. Focus on how it would FEEL to have those aspects in your life. Take your time and add in everything you would like to bring into your life.
Now fold that piece of paper up tight. As you are folding imagine and feel all those emotions or joy, excitement, optimism and anticipation.
Imagine that as you are folding your paper you are allowing all those things and feelings to ignite.
Physical release and sight is a trigger to our brain that then transmits through our nerves and our senses. For that reason a physical release is important to the final step of this exercise.
Take Paper #1 – Things you want to release. Light that piece of paper on fire….while envisioning all those self-doubt, should have, could have, if only, and all the emotions that went with it no longer stuck to you. They are stuck in the paper and as you watch it burn (in the fireplace or outside) watch all those aspects burn away to nothing. They are gone.
Take Paper #2 – Things you want to Bring Into Your Life. Light that piece of paper on fire….while envisioning all those things swirling around and coming to you as watch the paper burn. It is releasing the things you want to be able to come to you. Feel those emotions of what it is like to have those things in your life.
